A week in Boise!

A few weeks ago I was able to travel to Boise to spend a week there
with my mom and family. It was great timing since Michael was
in Chicago that week for work. I spent the week sewing, helping my mom. and
spending time with family. It was a great week and we got a lot done!

Unfortunately as always I did not take a lot of pictures. Most of the time
was spent shopping and sewing. We did have some fun taking my mom out
for lunch to celebrate her anniversary and celebrating father's day with some
delicious steak!

We celebrated Hudson's 6th birthday. What a sweet cake!

After a full week all the sewing projects were complete!

We also managed to reupholster some chairs and get ready for the
reunion and my Grandma's 90th birthday party. It was a fun week!

Pictures!

Thanks to my sister-in-law Dawn I now have some pictures of Mike's graduation
weekend!

On to New Adventures!

Our life has changed a lot over the last couple months. Mike has taken a job with a company called Praxair. They are an industrial gas company that is located all over the United States. They were so kind to take into account the fact we are about to have a baby and assigned us to the Salt Lake area for 6 months to a year. After Mike's graduation he finished up some research with his professor while I quit the doctor's office and worked at the MTC for one more month.

We have now officially moved out of our cozy basement apartment and into a two bedroom apartment in South Salt Lake. This is my first week with no job and I am quite enjoying it. I have been working somewhere or doing some type of job since my sophomore year in high school and it is a nice break. I am sure by the time July hits I will be getting a little stir crazy and very ready for this baby to come.

Mike started his new job on Monday and has enjoyed it so far. He has just been doing a lot of training in different areas so he can learn what all the company does. He will be flying to Burrdge, IL next week for some training out there.

So much is changing in our lives but we area excited for the change and for what is yet to come. We are very thankful for everyone who has helped us get to this point in our lives. We couldn't be more happy and blessed!

Mike Graduates!

After many long hours on campus and a lot of hard work, Michael graduated in April with his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical engineering! This was no easy major but this smart kid made it through! We had a great weekend with lots of family here to celebrate. Sorry I don't have more pictures to share.

New Adventures

This year has already been full of new and exciting adventures. Mike began his last semester of school (at least for now) in January and he is very excited to almost be done! He will graduate in April with his B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
Michael has had several interviews with different companies. In January he flew to Chicago to interview
with a company called Praxair. They sell different gasses like helium, nitrogen, and oxygen to different industrial companies. We are excited to announce they offered him a job and we have accepted!
Michael will begin his job with them sometime in June.
The catch is we still do not know where we will be located. They assign us to a location for one year and they are still deciding on that location. We will keep everyone posted. For now we anxiously await to find out where we will be headed.

We also have another big adventure heading our way! We are expecting baby #1 July 24th!
We are very excited to start this new chapter in our life!

With so many big changes ahead of us we want all our family and friends to know how much we love and appreciated their support. We appreciate all the help we have had getting to this point in our lives. We will miss Utah, but we are very excited for the adventures that lay ahead!

Holiday Recap

I am terrible about keeping up with our blog but here is a little recap of Thanksgiving and Christmas
this last year.

Thanksgiving 2012
This year for Thanksgiving Mike and I headed to Boise for the weekend. Four of my 5 siblings
families were there and it was fun spending time together. My mom went to Detroit to be with my other brother for the holiday so although we missed her it gave us a chance to surprise her with a bedroom makeover. Us girls spent Friday and Saturday re-decorating her bedroom. It turned out great and her reaction was awesome. We also spent time playing minute to win it games and doing black Friday shopping.
It was a great weekend. Here are a couple pictures.

This was Thanksgiving day.... Mike, Emerson, and Yoda taking their afternoon nap :)

Two days after Thanksgiving was my sister's birthday. It was fun to be able to
celebrate it with everyone there.

Christmas 2012
This year for Christmas we headed south to the warmth in Arizona! We spent two weeks there which gave us a lot of time to relax and enjoy the break. All of Mike's family was there for Christmas and we had so much fun! Christmas included a cold December dip in the pool and lots and lots of games! After Mike has been away for the last 3 years for Christmas he enjoyed being back at home with his family traditions. I even got my first pair of Christmas pajamas! There is so much we did during the two weeks I would be typing forever. Unfortunately we don't have a lot of pictures either but here are a couple.

Mike was very excited about his Christmas gift of Psych seasons 1-4

Mike and I on Christmas Eve in our Christmas pajamas. All the guys matched and all the girls matched.

Me with my new Kindle! I have the best husband ever who surprised me with this awesome gift!

This is the Christmas dinner we did at our house before going to Arizona. I just had to show off my
new Christmas china that I got from Jen and Gable for my birthday! I love it!

I hope everyone had wonderful holidays like we did! It really has been a great year for us and
we are so blessed to have wonderful family and friends!
