5 months!

As of January 3rd John is now 5 months old! Time seems to be going by so fast. He is learning new things and growing every day. He now grabs at everything and has even pulled Dad's cereal on top of them both. He is beginning to eat solids and is enjoying the rice cereal. We just tried green beans and he is not so sure about those yet. He loves being tickled and gets giggly at night before bed. He still loves to be sung to and calms down whenever someone starts singing to him. He enjoys tummy time more now but still with not roll from his back to his stomach. He loves to be up high where he can see everything. He has started a new thing of scream a high pitch scream when he wants attention or doesn't like something. Mom and Dad are not so happy about that new development. He does not like taking naps but if he is sung to will eventually give in. He smiles lots and brings a lot of happiness and joy to his parents. We feel so lucky and blessed!

Christmas 2013

This year for Christmas we were able to travel to Boise to spend Christmas with my family.
It was so fun to be home and to be able to spend time with everyone. Each night we were able
to get together and do something. We went on a sleigh ride, made gingerbread houses, played games,
had a Christmas Eve program, and had a big Christmas Dinner. John enjoyed playing with his cousins
and playing the role of Jesus during the Christmas Nativity.

We hope you all enjoyed your Christmas holiday too. It is always a great time of the year to remember
our Savior and what he has done for us. I hope we can keep the feeling of service and giving with us
throughout this coming year! Happy Holidays!

Vegas

At the beginning of December Michael had to go to Las Vegas a couple times
for work. On one of the trips John and I joined him. We spent a few days
there and we had fun enjoying a nice hotel and spending a couple nights hanging
out with our friends Gary and Meredith who live there. It was a nice short trip and John
and I enjoyed getting out of the house!

John chillin on the King size bed! We enjoyed having a tv to watch:)

4 months!

On December 3rd John was four months old! He is becoming a lot more active
and developing better fine motor skills. He is rolling over (stomach to back) more and loves to
talk and make noise. He loves to stand up (on your lap) and is discovering how to grab everything
in reach! He is so fun to be around and play with. He loves smiling and laughing. We have loved these last four months!

6 years!!

This is a little out of order but on November 16th Michael and I
celebrated 6 years since our first date! who would have thought we would
be where we are six years later. It has been an amazing six years and I wouldn't want
to spend them with any one else :)

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we had the fun adventure of hosting dinner at our
apartment. We were all a little nervous but it actually turned out well. We had 13 people
total but 3 of those were kids. It was so fun to spend time with Mike's siblings and
grandparents. We enjoyed many delicious appetizer and then had a wonderful
Thanksgiving dinner. I cooked my first turkey and it actually turned out
pretty good! We were able to play a couple games and catch up talking. It was
a nice enjoyable day!

Trip to the Midwest

At the beginning of November Michael had to go to Chicago for a week for work.
I thought it would be fun to make a trip out of it since we have family in the Midwest.
John and I flew out to Detroit and spent a couple days with my brother Nate and his family.
We ate at the first Coney Island restaurant in downtown Detroit and also saw the sports stadiums and
the temple. It was fun to finally get to see their home and spend time with their family. After a
couple days there John and I went over to Kalamazoo where Mike's parents live. We were there for a
couple days before Mike came over from Chicago to join us for the weekend. We had a great time going
to the air museum, the outlets, and seeing his brothers schools. It was so fun to spend some time
with family we don't get to see very often. It was also my first time out to the Midwest. I even got
a little taste of the tornado warnings and storms :)

We had a great time and we hope to be able to go back sometime this year!

3 Months!

We are a bit behind with what has been going on so we are going to try to catch up.
On November 3rd John was 3 months! He rolled over from stomach
to back for his first time that day. At 3 months he enjoyed baths, eating, laying under
his play mat and playing, and being sung to.
